News from NAM: Sunny Outlook for Manufacturers
According to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) senior vice president of policy and government relations, Aric Newhouse, the recent election means several things for manufacturers:
- “There is no industry better positioned [then manufacturing] to be the deciding force on any issue in the next Congress, which is an enviable place to be given the status of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, other potential trade agreements and the future of infrastructure investment.”
- “There are still opportunities in the coming weeks to either advance or set the stage for additional progress on tax and regulatory reforms as well as significant infrastructure investment and trade expansion.”
- “We could see even more key appointments advance, and manufacturers will continue to work through the agencies to build on the significant regulatory relief we have secured already.”
